About
Time Together is an expansive home for live art and theater created by Francis Weiss Rabkin and Leslie Lancaster Allison. At the heart of Time Together is our belief that making a community is an art and that good art makes a community. Francis and Leslie met making a play together in 2012 and have been life and creative partners ever since. Together they have made plays, an opera, and music events, previously under the name Tight Braid Group. Time Together marks a new project, but the philosophy remains the same: when queer and trans people make art together we change the fabric of reality.
Francis Weiss Rabkin
Francis is a writer and theater maker living in Oakland. Their writing has been developed and staged at the New York Theatre Workshop, The Brick, Bushwick Starr, Dixon Place, and the Poetry Project. They wrote for the Apple TV+ show Dickinson, a queer historical comedy about Emily Dickinson. Their latest script T 4 Two is an ongoing serial play: a transmasc romantic sitcom as episodic theater.
Leslie Lancaster Allison
Leslie is a multidisciplinary composer, writer, and teacher. They are the author of the chapbook Martha (Ugly Duckling Presse), and have written about music and dance for The Brooklyn Rail and The Chicago Reader. Their music compositions have appeared in theatre and dance performances; concert halls and house shows; art films and museum installations. Through their music studio, Resonant Body, Leslie teaches somatic singing and composition in private lessons and group workshops, with a focus on trans voices.
